Azeem Kayum suffered a spinal cord injury at birth (December 1979), which resulted in severe neurological damage. He spent his first year at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Azeem is twenty-seven years old and is still considered as "multiple handicapped". Despite his inherent limitations, he continues to defy all the medical and educational odds.

Miracles & Blessings

Many people think that miracles are big and happen once in a lifetime. Every child’s birth is a miracle and that is a big event. But miracles can come in small ways and those are the best. We must learn to look out for those small blessings and appreciate them. Because of the tough life I have had, I have learned to count every blessing I receive and I enjoy every moment. Look out for your everyday miracle and share them with others so that they can be more aware of their blessings.
